Fantastic location and people were very social in the hostel

Fantastic location

We had stayed there 3 nights and needed them to store our bags on the 4th night as we were heading to Rosario islands. They charged us to store our bags even though we had already stayed there 3 nights.

Cute place to stay in when in Cartagena

The breakfast was really delicious, they offered a free salsa lesson the day we arrived and the location in Getsemani is quite good.

The rooms were a bit small so there was hardly enough space for all the backpacks if the room was full.

Good value and location

Vibrant hostel located in the center of Getsemeni. You are truly in the middle of the action. The cafe and open spaces are lovely although the spaces are not large. The Netflix room was great to spend time playing cards or watching a flick after checkout.

The showers are tiny. If you are a larger person, you may not be able to turn around in them.

Really nice!

Comfortable beds, quiet and comfy facilities. Very nice breakfast included.

The bathroom was not well washed (not dirty, I mean there was a large splash of liquid soap on the floor) and when we arrived, they didn't show us the room or the bathroom but just gave us the keys, so they hadn't noticed. However they cleaned it promptly.

The stay was beautiful and the place really matched the vibe of the neighborhood.

Wonderful

Nice filling breakfast and dorms with lockers, curtains and a/c. Located in the heart of Getsemani.

No hot water, but Cartagena is not that cold.

Good with a minor(?) problem

Everything. The location, the facilities, the cleanliness, the staff (except for the manager), the food, the drinks, the activities. Everything!

I had a xenophobic attack from the manager even though we are both Colombians. I don’t use nothing on my hands, I can’t even use jewelry because I have a really bad issue with liquid retention so I get swollen and using things on my hands and feet make it worse. During my first three nights, no staff requested me to use the hostel bracelet to identify me as a guest, they just knew me and if not, they would just have me reminding them my info and bed number. One night, the manager acted very rude and asked me where I was going instead of a nice “are you a guest?” and put me on a bracelet which I took away a few minutes after and saved it on my phone case, in case I was asked to show it once again. Later on, the manager asked me “colombian, right?” to what I said “yes”, and he replied “I can notice” (taking my wrist with his hand showing where he put the bracelet earlier). I kept everything to myself because I know me and I can be the rudest so I remained silent. This really annoyed me and made the rest of my stay (I booked three more nights) a little bit uncomfortable.

Tranquil setting in crazy Cartagena

Tranquil setting, coming off the hot noisy streets of Getsemani you enter the cool and quiet Casa Del Pozo and feel instantly relaxed, cats laze around in the courtyard, the rooms are small and simple, the atmosphere is social but not too crazy, had a really nice welcome drink, and breakfast is perfect

The slightest complaint is that they didn't have any towels available the day we stayed so we did have to go and buy one in order to shower, but they do, ordinarily provide them for a small price

Very good facilities and nice clean dorm. A lot of value in the price. Great breakfast. Good location. Staff also speaks English.

No atmosphere which is always a little bit shame when you travel solo, also WiFi didn't work in the dorm. Kitchen does only have one big kettle.

Very good

Absolutely brilliant location (in Getsamani, a couple of minutes walk from Plaza del Trinidad, which is lively at night). Wonderful atmosphere all around the area - plenty of places to eat and drink and take photos of the incredible graffiti/murals. Friendly staff and easy to meet people. Really pretty colours and design, like the surrounding streets, and very friendly staff.

The breakfast was quite limited for me - if you're not vegan, it would be fine. I survived on toast and fruit, which is fine but I literally had to eat the granola 'dry' as there were no non-dairy milk options - this would be an improvement! Also, the pool is so pretty and great for a quick plunge in the heat, but there's no comfy area to actually sunbathe next to it so it's not ideal for communal gatherings. Still, I'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hostel in Getsemaní

Great location, it’s a clean hostel with a nice vibe. Additionally, there is free coffee all day long and a delicious welcoming drink.

During the day in the open air common spaces it can get quite warm.

Definitely great position, attentive stuff, good breakfast, great wifi, nice little pool where you can relax, air conditioning friendly cats.

the 6 bed dorm is too small for 6 people, beds aren’t super comfy but just ok.

Considering all factors the hostel was barely above average only because of the staff were nice, helpful and always with

the staff,cooks, cleaning crew for bathrooms were exceptional. Breakfast, wading pool, sitting area and location.

Small shared rooms for six. Very cluttered and messy. combination of room size and occupants. Observed a roach climbing the wall on one occasion.
